Zagreb, June 20, 2017 – Croatian-Korean Business Club held a ceremony in Esplanade Zagreb Hotel, to mark its third anniversary. Beside the host, H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in the Republic of Croatia, Park Won-Sup and the President of the Croatian-Korean Business Club Zoran Horvat, Deputy Speaker of the Croatian Parliament, academician Željko Reiner and the Minister of Labour and Pension System Marko Pavić addressed the guests.
In his introductory speech, H.E. Ambassador Park Won-Sup said he believes that the Croatian-Korean Business Club is the most important private institution of Croatian and Korean relationship, and thanked the founders for their continuous efforts in improving the collaboration between the two countries over the past three years. He finished saying that the full potential of the collaboration between two countries yet needs to be achieved, especially after the forthcoming opening of the Croatian Embassy in Korea scheduled for the end of the year. President of the Croatian-Korean Business Club Zoran Horvat highlighted the long term friendly relationship between Croatia and Korea, and thanked the members and friends of the Club for their trust with the promise that the Club will continue to create opportunities for business collaboration between Croatian and Korean companies, whose number in the Club increases continuously. On this occasion, the President of the Croatian Parliament, academician Željko Reiner, pointed out how the long-term friendly relationship between Croatia and Korea is constantly evolving. He emphasised the importance of intense development of relationship between the two countries in all fields of human activities, especially in science, culture and economy. Minister of Labour and Pension System, Marko Pavić found that the current activities of the Croatian-Korean Business Club were especially important for the development of collaboration between the countries, and expressed his desire for this collaboration to continue especially in the fields of science, business development, innovation and knowledge exchange, for which Korea is worldwide well known.
After the introductory speeches, the Governor of the Croatian National Bank, professor Boris Vujčić delivered the presentation on the current state of the Croatian Economy, followed by the speech from the President of the University of Applied Sciences VERN, professor Vlatko Cvrtila on the subject of National security in the Republic of Croatia, in the context of global activities and worldwide security threats.
Anniversary ceremony of the Croatian-Korean Business Club was attended by over 50 members and dignitaries of the Croatian-Korean Business Club, among which the representatives of companies Samsung, Dok-Ing, Orbico, Kraš, Triglav osiguranje (Triglav Insurance), Raiffeisenbank Austria, Stanić Beverages, RIZ-odašiljači, Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing, Lola Ribar, Presečki Grupa, PP Orahovica and others.
