THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE FIRST DIRECT FLIGHT BETWEEN ZAGREB AND SEOUL

 Zagreb, September 1, 2018 - With traditional water greeting on Saturday, September 1, the first flight of South Korean air company Korean Air which now connects Zagreb and Seoul three times a week, was welcomed. FACULTY OF FOOD TECHNOLOGY AND BIOTECHNOLOGY JOINS THE CROATIAN-KOREAN BUSINESS CLUB

May 17, 2018 - Faculty of Food Technology and Biotechnology joined the Croatian-Korean business club by signing the contract between prof.dr.sc. Damir Ježek, the dean of the Faculty and Mr. Zoran Horvat, the president of the Club.
Membership of the Faculty in the Club will be crucial for continuation of academic cooperation between Croatia and Korea, especifically in food and biotechnology, which was initiated by the Croatian-Korean Business Club. (more)

PHARMACIJA LABORATORIJ JOINS THE CROATIAN-KOREAN BUSINESS CLUB

Zagreb, October 5th 2016. Pharmacija Laboratorij Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Croatian-Korean Business Club by which Pharmacija Laboratorij became an official member of the Croatian-Korean Business Club. Memorandum was signed by Mr. Joško Luka Bogdan, Director of the Pharmacija Laboratorij and Mr. Zoran Horvat, President of the Croatian-Korean Business Club.

SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS FULLY SUPPORTS THE CROATIAN-KOREAN BUSINESS CLUB

September 16, 2016 - The President of the Croatian-Korean Business Club Mr. Zoran Horvat and Secretary-General Mr. Igor Zgrabljić met with the CEO of Samsung electronics Mr. Taewhan (TH) Hwang. The meeting was an opportunity to present the activities of the Club to one of the most prominent Korean companies. ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION OF THE MOST IMPORTANT PRIVATE INSTITUTION IN THE BILATERAL RELATIONS BETWEEN CROATIA AND KOREA

Zagreb, July 6, 2016 - The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Zagreb and the Croatian-Korean Business Club hosted a ceremony marking the second anniversary of the Croatian-Korean Business Club. Along with the hosts the new Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Croatia H.E. Park Won-Sup and the President of the Croatian-Korean Business Club Zoran Horvat present guests were addressed by the Speaker of the Croatian Parliament academician Željko Reiner, Economic Adviser to the President of the Republic of Croatia Marko Jurčić, and Deputy Minister of Economy of the Republic of Croatia Ivan Sertić.

In his opening speech, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea H.E. Park Won-Sup said that the Croatian-Korean Business Club is the most important private institution in Croatia-Korea relations and thanked the founders of the Club for their persistent efforts in the development of economic cooperation between the two countries. He concluded by saying that the full potential of economic cooperation between the two countries has yet to be realized. (more)

THE VISIT OF KOREAN AMBASSADOR H.E. SUH HYUNG-WON TO SAMOBOR

Samobor, 2016 – Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Croatia H.E. Suh Hyung-won and Mr. Zoran Horvat, President of the Croatian-Korean Business Club visited the City of Samobor. The delegation was hosted by Mr. Krešo Beljak, Mayor of the City of Samobor and Mr.sc. Ružica Rasperić, Director of Zagreb County Tourist Board.

During their visit to Samobor the Korean delegation visited the manufacture workshop "Kristal Tuk" that manufactures hand cut crystals and unique items. The delegation also visited the wine cellar “Podrum Filipec” where they tasted traditional products Bermet and Samobor Mustard. (more)

THE CEREMONY OF SIGNING THE MEMORANDUM OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE UNIVERSITY OF ZAGREB AND THE KOREAN UNIVERSITY OF ULSAN

Zagreb, January 07, 2016 - Today at 14 am in the small hall of the Rectorate of the University of Zagreb and the Korean University of Ulsan signed the Memorandum of Understanding. This memorandum establishes a collaboration between the University of Zagreb and the University of Ulsan for the purpose to develop academic and cultural exchanges in the fields of education, research and other activities, in accordance with the internationalization of higher education. THE REPUBLIC CROATIA AND THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA WILL ESTABLISH DIRECT FLIGHTS BETWEEN TWO COUNTRIES

Zagreb, December 30, 2015 - Minister of Maritime Affairs , Transport and Infrastructure Sinisa Hajdaš Dončić and Ambassador of the Republic of Korea's Hyung -won Suh signed on Wednesday an agreement between the two governments on air transport , which provides framework for the establishment of direct regular flights  between the two countries.

The agreement will allow the establishment of direct regular flights in air transport , which would further encourage the further growth of tourist arrivals . In recent years, the Republic of Korea has become the most dynamic tourism market with the highest tourist arrivals in Croatia outside the European continent. (more)

THE REPUBLIC OF KOREA DONATES $200.000 TO CARITAS CROATIA

Zagreb, December 28, 2015 – The signing ceremony of the Donation Agreement, which the Republic of Korea donates the amount of $ 200,000 to Caritas Croatia was held at the Croatian Conference of Bishops. The amount is intended for the care of refugees and migrants on the Croatian territory, which are currently organized in the winter transit camp in the City of Slavonski Brod. Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Croatia, H.E. Suh Hyung-Won presented the donation to Msgr. Josip Mrzljak, President of Caritas Croatia who received the donation on behalf of the Caritas Croatia. (more)

Zagreb, December 28, 2015 – The Republic of Korea donates the amount of $ 300,000 to Croatian Red Cross. The amount is intended for the care of refugees and migrants that pass through Croatian territory. Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Croatia, H.E. GRAND OPENING OF THE LEE KWANGBAE JASTREB CUP

KOREA FILM WEEK 2015 

Zagreb, October 20, 2015 – The opening of the Korea Film Week 2015 was held today at Tuškanac cinema. The opening was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea and the Croatian Film Association. On this occasion the Embassy hosted a short gathering before the screening of the first movie Ode to My Father (2014.), directed by Youn Je-Kyun.

The Korea Film Week was organized on the initiative to familiarize the Croatian society with the Korean film art movie industry, which is as strong as Hollywood industry. The established production house CJ Entertainment signs all movies, which offer intelligent and first class entertainment that Croatians will appreciate. (more)

THE CELEBRATION OF THE KOREAN NATIONAL DAY

Zagreb, September 30, 2015 – On the occasion of the Korean National Day the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Croatia H.E. Suh Hyung-won hosted the reception and the concert of the Korean Symphony Orchestra at the Concert Hall Vatroslav Lisinski. The special guest of the concert was the violin soloist Ms. Yura Lee while the Orchestra was conducted by the most prominent Korean conductor Mr. Hun-Young Lim. About 100 dignitaries and representatives of the Croatian and Korean institutions and companies attended the reception and concert. (more)

Available scholarships for Croatian citizens as part of the Global scholarship program of the Government of the Republic of Korea 2015 (GSK) 

Embassy of the Republic of Korea is informing all who are interested about the available scholarships as part of the Global scholarship program of the Government of the Republic of Korea 2015 (GSK) for graduate / post-graduate studies for the period 2015 / 2018 for Croatian citizens. The aim is to promote international exchange in education, as well as mutual friendship amongst the participating countries. Croatia was granted with two internationals scholarship, with the application deadline: March 27, 2015.

REAL GRUPA JOINS THE CROATIAN-KOREAN BUSINESS CLUB

Zagreb, January 07 2015. – Real Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Croatian-Korean Business Club by which Real Group became an official member of the Croatian-Korean Business Club. Memorandum was signed by Mr. Krešimir Renzo Prosoli, Director of the Real Group and Mr. Zoran Horvat, President of the Croatian-Korean Business Club and longtime director of Samsung Corporation headquartered Zagreb (1991-2005).

During the signing of the Memorandum Mr. Krešimir Renzo Prosoli expressed his satisfaction with the new membership in the Croatian-Korean Business Club, as well as with all business opportunities that are expected from the membership. (more)

 

THE OPENING OF THE FIRST KOREAN FOOD FESTIVAL IN CROATIA AND TRADITIONAL KOREAN LUNCH HOSTED BY H.E. SUH HYUNG-WON

Zagreb, November 15, 2014 –  As a part of the first Korean Food Festival, organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Croatia and the Croatian-Korean Business Club in hotel Esplanade Zagreb, H.E. Suh Hyung-Won, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Croatia, hosted a traditional Korean lunch for the delegation of the Croatian-Korean Business Club. The menu was prepared and presented by one of the Korean master chefs, President of Korean Food Institute,  Sook-ja Yoon, the biggest expert in the Korean royal cuisine. (more)

Osijek, 12 September 2014 - On the eve of the opening of Korean cinema in Croatia, H.E.
