MEETING OF THE DELEGATION OF THE ISTRIA COUNTY WITH KOREAN AMBASSADOR

On February 09, 2018, H.E.Park, Won-sup, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea, held a reception and working lunch in honor of high delegation from Istria County represented by: mr.sc.Valter Flego, County Governor, Mr.Boris Miletić, Mayor of Pula, Mr.Gianni Rosanda, President of Management Board of Uljanik Grupa from Pula, and with presence of prof.dr.Kresimir Cosic, professor at FER ( Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computing ) in Zagreb, Mr.Tomislav Čorak Principal at the Boston Consulting Group and Mr.Zoran Horvat, President of Croatian-Korean Business Club.

The visit of a high delegation from Istria was intiated by prof.dr.Kresimir Cosic, a member of the Advisory Board of Croatian-Korean Business Club, as a continuation of the Agreement signed between the Universities of Zagreb and Ulsan ( owned by Hyundai Group ) in Zagreb in January 2016.

The main topics of discussion were the possibilities of collaboration between Uljanik Grupa and Korean shipbuilding industries including a strategic partnership with Uljanik Grupa ( Uljanik Shipyard Pula, 3.maj Rijeka and Viktor Lenac Rijeka ) and the increase of the visit of Korean tourists to Istria in view of the establishment of a direct flight operated by Asiana bewteen Incheon and Venice airports in 2018.
