Zagreb, November, 1 2014 – The Atlantic Group at its headquarters in Zagreb hosted the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding with Croatian-Korean Business Club, which made Atlantic Group an official member of the Croatian-Korean Business Club. The memorandum was signed by Neven Vranković, Group Vice President for Corporate Activities and Zoran Horvat, President of the Croatian-Korean Business Club and long-time director of Samsung Corporation, headquartered Zagreb (1991-2005). The signing ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea in Croatia, HE Suh Hyung-Won and his associates, Ivan Mišetić, Secretary General of Atlantic Group and Igor Zgrabljić, Secretary General of the Croatian-Korean Business Club.
During the signing of the Memorandum Neven Vranković said he was pleased that there is an active business club that has in such a short period of time since foundation this visible results and ambitious projects. He expressed his pleasure with Atlantic Group becoming a member in the Croatian-Korean Business Club, and stated that the Atlantic group is the second largest food conglomerate in Croatia, with 17 factories, more than 5,000 employees and over 2500 different products. He said that the Atlantic Group is currently operating on the territory of Croatia and the region, and that Atlantic Group is in the process of expanding its operations to Western Europe market which they want to open with two of their products: Cedevita and Melem. He also mentioned that they are currently in the process of opening a new factory in Nova Gradiška for which the construction started in May this year. The factory is now employing more than 50 employees from the local community and should manufacture about 15 million energy bars per year.
President of the Croatian-Korean Business Club Zoran Horvat expressed his satisfaction with the new member of the Club and is looking forward to future cooperation and believes that this membership will have successful business results.
On this occasion, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea HE Suh Hyung-Won also expressed his satisfaction with the membership of Atlantic Group in the Croatian-Korean Business Club and said that he is happy to provide, along with the Club his support to the Atlantic group in achieving business contact with the Korean business world.
Croatian-Korean Business Club was established with the aim of promoting and enhancing the economic cooperation between Croatia and the Republic of Korea with a focus on promoting the development of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial initiatives, and trade between the two countries.
